Father

You know Im not well, and not getting any better.

Words of abject by my father, ceaseless words run my mind.

Darkness falls rather fleetly, grasping the grey bolster.

Recollection of childhood, holding my poppet.

Latest memories of lunch talks, drawling as he attempts to speak.

The day i dropped to my knees, nothing would be the same.

Preponderance I have to show, resentment I leave behind.

Evidence of years lost, new time cut short.

He's gone as fast as he came, just leaving his words that run my mind.
